Interested in a work bike scheme but unsure where to start?
This online workshop, recorded on 27th October 2021, offered staff within NHS Scotland the chance to find out all there is to know about setting up and running a workplace pool bike / e-bike scheme.
Watch the recording to hear directly from Sustrans NHS Active Travel Embedded Officers from several Boards on their lessons learned and where to find the best resources.
The session covered how to access funding and training, and the positive impacts of longer-term bike loans.
We were also joined by partners from Forth Environment Link and NHS Grampian.Providing colleagues with bikes or e-bikes for work journeys brings so many benefits.
But setting up a scheme can be daunting, especially if there are no dedicated staff.
This workshop aimed to demystify the process of running a pool bike scheme, offering tips and tricks as well as some inspiration from success stories across NHS Scotland.
Our Get into Gear workshops provide a timely opportunity to think about how we can find joy and breathing space in making our everyday journeys more active and environmentally friendly.
The purpose of the Sustrans Workplace Engagement Programme is to increase active and sustainable travel of NHS Scotland staff, creating a culture where this is normalised.
