There have been a number of changes in the way that funding for active and sustainable travel is allocated across Scotland. Transport Scotland have revised the delivery of Behaviour Change and Access to Bike interventions ( People and Place Programme), with more direct funding and control now being held at a local level .
This means that funding is directly provided to Regional Transport Partnerships, who now have responsibility to develop a relationships with Local Authorities and Third Sector organisations to deliver the People and Place Programme.

Cycling Scotland work with partners to support delivery of the People & Place programme. Funding is available to enablemore people to cycle through increasing affordable access to bikes, parking andstorage. Please note there is currently no Cycling Friendlynational grant funding available in 2024-25. Energy Saving Trust offers a range of grants and loans available to support Low Carbon Travel. From e-bikegrants, to domestic chargepoint funding, there are a range of funding optionsavailable.
Paths for All Community Project Transition Fund - funding for community andthird sector organisations to support behaviour change programmes to increasewalking, wheeling and cycling in local communities.
